Meet Dr. Esmeralda Marcantel

Dr. Esmeralda is originally from Houston, but her journey in dentistry began in high school, and she’s been committed ever since. Before becoming a dentist, she gained invaluable hands-on experience working as a dental assistant, which eventually led her to the University of Texas to earn her dental hygiene degree. After being honored as the “Outstanding Dental Hygiene Student of Texas,” she spent two years giving back to the profession by serving as a clinical associate faculty member in the UT Houston Dental Hygiene program.

She then returned to earn her DDS, fueled by the belief that dentistry is about much more than teeth; it’s about care, community, and heart. She’s a strong believer in making every visit “fear-free” and even a little bit of fun.
